AUTUMN TREES Small Silver Birch panel

Autumn is such a beautiful time of year.  The Sun is  lower in the sky creating warm golden light .  Nature abounds with berries, fruits  and nuts.  The colours are rich and warm, oranges, plums, copper, reds and golden yellows.   .S  

Beautiful fused glass panel in glowing Autumnal colours.

 

 I make and paint, and  then fire the Birch trees and underpaint the panel with powdered frit.   The addition of amber glass  gives a lovely warm glow.     I add crushed glass and refire adding more giving a warmth to the panel using oranges, amber and warm yellows. fused more frit onto the glass to give texture.
